His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di- Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam also attended the 22nd ASEAN-India Summit; and the Retreat Session of the 47th ASEAN Summit, held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. Accompanying His Majesty was His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Mateen.

While attending the ASEAN-India Summit, His Majesty in his titah highlighted that the long history and enduring ties between Southeast Asia and India have laid a strong foundation for the ASEAN-India Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. His Majesty went on to emphasize the importance of working closely together to strengthen economic cooperation, enhance supply chain resilience,mand ensure shared prosperity for the region, especially amidst growing geopolitical and trade uncertainties. This would reinforce the ASEAN–India Dialogue Partnership and as such, officials are encouraged to increase dialogue, knowledge-sharing, and capacity-building to identify and act upon areas of convergence more effectively. In the evening, the Retreat Session of the 47th ASEAN Summit was held and was attended by ASEAN Leaders and the Secretary-General of ASEAN.
